WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES
Y-WOW (Younger Women of the Word)

Description: Our current curriculum is He Speaks to Me, a six week study focused on how God desires to speak to us personally and learning what steps to take to prepare our hearts to hear his voice. Younger Women of the Word is a women's Bible study for ages 18-30 that explores scripture for its life application, and promotes personal reflection and transformation. Many women of Floris have been a part of WOW over the years, and credit it with being a critical component in their faith development. Groups place an emphasis on membership devotions, personal Bible study, prayer, outreach and fellowship. An environment of intimacy and open, honest sharing is maintained within each group. WOW studies utilize a workbook format, in which readings and questions are completed before meeting with the group. [Childcare is available.]
Godly Women Under Construction

Description: This women's group typically studies books on Christian topics with study guides. We think of ourselves as a learning group for the imperfect and curious. Come join us to see what God will build with us all. [Childcare is available.]
Tuesday Women's Small Group

Description: This lively group is a mix of ages and experiences, but our common bond is God's word. Each study is firmly rooted in the Bible. Lively discussions will take your knowledge of scripture to new levels. We support each other, pray for each other, and encourage each other. For the past 2 years we have concentrated on Beth Moore video studies. [Childcare is available.]
First Light Bible Study

Description: In January we will start a new curriculuum called Faith Lessons in the Early Church, a Focus on the Family study with Ray Vander Lan. We will explore God's detailed and intricate plan for the building of the Tabernacle while being challenged to prepare our hearts to become a home for God's love and glory. South Riding Women's Bible Study

Description: Our group will be challenged by Beth Moore through her Breaking Free study that uses Isaiah to discover the transforming power of Christian freedom. Weekly meetings will comprise video segments and lively discussion. Saturday Morning Circle

Description: This small group for women combines casual fellowship with roll-up-your-sleeves service in God's name. Sponsored by the United Methodist Women, the group meets the last Saturday of every month for prayer and a Dutch-treat breakfast at a local restaurant. Once a month or so, the group members offer their time and talents to serve others in our community. [Childcare is NOT available.]
