SUNDAY GROUPS

Pilgrims 
Day:  Sundays

Description:  We offer an opportunity for interested adults, both members and visitors, to supplement Sunday morning worship with extended fellowship, deeper study and discussion on a variety of topics, without the commitment required by some groups.  Topics for discussion and readings are announced in advance and class members are encouraged to prepare and attend on a regular basis.  Each lesson will stand on its own, however, and preparation in advance is not a prerequisite for participation.  Discussion is based on reading from the Bible and other sources.  No matter where we are in our walk with God, we all benefit from some time to share, support and encourage each other.  The class also engages in several outreach ministries throughout the year, including responsibility for the Christmas Party for immigrant day laborers in Herndon.  In September, we will be starting with a 6-week study of the story behind the feature film "Amazing Grace".  [Childcare is available.]

Tough Questions

Description:  Open to all adults, get ready for great discussions and a new look at what the Bible teaches.  Beginning in January we will start How Could God Allow Suffering and Evil?, part of the Tough Questions series.  [Childcare is available.]

Connections Class

Description:   As a 9:15 class, we provide the “connection” for those who attend either the 8:00 or 11:00 services.  Join us to connect better to God, His word, and the community at Floris UMC.  [Childcare is available.]
