STEPHEN MINISTRY
Floris United Methodist Church is a Stephen Ministry church. A Stephen Minister is a trained lay person in the congregation who feels called by God to serve the hurting. They then go through an application process and interview, are selected, trained, commissioned, and supervised by Stephen leaders to provide one-to-one Christian care to people in and around our congregation, Stephen Ministers are compassionate, full of faith, skilled and trustworthy. Stephen Ministers provide Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, lonely and others in need.
“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me”. John 12:26
