Coffee with the Pastors


Become a member of Floris UMC by attending our Coffee with the Pastors.

What is Coffee with the Pastors?
It is a time to meet with the pastors, to hear about Floris UMC and its history. You'll learn what membership means at Floris and how to join.

When are the Coffees offered?
Coffees are held approximately 4-5 times a year. Childcare is available.

Upcoming dates:

  • Tuesday, August 13, 7-9 PM - Location: The Hangar

  • Sunday, October 20, 2-4 PM - Location: Fellowship Hall


Do I need to register?
Yes. We need to have adequate supplies available so registration is required. You can register via email or the participation form which will be in the Sunday bulletin in the weeks prior to a Coffee date.

What if I have a child that would like to be baptized or I am interested in being baptized?
The United Methodist Church recognizes one baptism. If you or your child have been baptized in another domination in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, your baptism is transferable to Floris.

Prior to becoming a member at Floris, you must be baptized.
If you have not been baptized, and are interested in being baptized you will have the opportunity to sign up for a Baptismal Pastor Meeting that begins your baptismal process .
If you would like your child to be baptized, one of the parents must be a member of Floris. If you are already are a member, you can fill out a baptism request form on our website. A church representative will then be in contact with you to schedule.

When will I become a member at Floris?
If you chose to join, you will be given a choice of New Member Sundays offered. You will be able to indicate the worship date and time when you prefer to join.
