Background

Floris UMC cares for families and individuals in need by providing fundamental necessities such as food, clothing and shelter.  We do this by partnering with local organizations and faith communities that serve those in need.

Through our program with Fairfax Area Christian Emergency and Transitional Services (FACETS), volunteers help prepare and deliver meals for the homeless and people living in transitional housing in Fairfax County. Grace Ministries is a monthly food, diaper, and clothing distribution held at the church.  Volunteers prepare and serve breakfast at Embry Rucker Community Shelter in Reston and at So Others Might Eat (SOME) in Washington, DC.
