Fall KickoffBe a part of the excitement this September as we gear up for fun events and new programs. You are invited to participate in all these activities!
Our new sermon series, Stung by the Tongue, starts Sunday, September 2. Join us in worship as we discover how to harness the tongue for good. Also, a special Prayer & Healing Service will take place on Thursday, September 6 at 7:30 PM. The service will be about 45 minutes and is open to all. Come, pray for yourself or someone you love and share with other Christians as we worship our Holy God. Also join us weekly for Communion on Wednesday's at 11:45 AM.
Adult Programs and Events
Many small groups are beginning in the month of September. Check out all of our Small Groups and find out which group is best for you If you are a young mom, check out our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) or MomsNext groups. Attend a four week Wesley Seminary Speaker Series with Professor Shawn Casey starting Wednesday, September 26. Our fitness classes with Body & Soul will be starting a new 14 week session on September 4. A new Singles group for 40-60's is starting, join in the fun.
Sunday School programs kickoff in Kid Nation on Sunday, September 9. Preschoolers thru 5th graders should bring their backpacks for our annual Backpack Blessing in Kid Nation on September 9. A Music Open House for parents and kids on Wednesday, September 12 at 6 PM. Also, third graders will receive their Bibles on Bible Sunday and can participate in the Bible Blast on Sunday, September 30.
Middle School Students Activities (grades 6th-8th)
Student Programming begins again after the summer brake. Join us on Sunday, September 9 for CrossRoads, our weekly student programming, from 5-6:16 PM. Middle Schoolers enjoy the annual Road Rules event on Friday, September 14.
High School Students - KREW (grades 9th-12th)
Student Programming begins again after the summer brake. Join us on Sunday, September 9 for CrossRoads, our weekly student programming, from 6:30-7:45 PM. High Schoolers enjoy the Amazing Race on Saturday, September 15.
Join a choir! Floris has many choirs to choose from including vocal, handbells and instrumental choirs for children, students and adults. Children's chiors start meeting again Wednesday, September 12. Learn more about the music ministry at Floris.
Help out our community by donating blood on Saturday September 22. An INOVA blood mobile will be in our lower parking lot to take donations.
