Hutchison PALS Program

Floris United Methodist Church has a supportive and growing partnership with Hutchison Elementary, a multi-cultural Title I school in Herndon. The Hutchison PALS (Purposefully Active in Loving Service) Program was developed to meet the individual needs of students and seeks to connect willing adults with students who would most benefit from the support. We believe that one hour of your time each week can make an impact in a student’s life.  The Hutchison PALS Orientation session will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 7 PM at Hutchison Elementary.

What type of PAL would you like to be?
  • Breakfast PAL (Meeting time is from 8:15 - 8:40am)
  • Lunch PAL (Meeting time is in the range of 10:25am - 1:00pm)

Would you prefer to work with a certain grade level? Lunch blocks for each grade are as follows:

• Kindergarten: 11:30am-12:15pm

• 1st Grade: 11:40am-12:35pm

• 2nd Grade: 12:00-1:00pm

• 3rd Grade: 11:00-11:45am

• 4th Grade: 10:25-11:05am

• 5th Grade: 10:35-11:15am

• 6th Grade: 10:50-11:30am

The Hutchison PALS program requires a weekly commitment of one hour or less. We will make all efforts to accommodate your schedule. Please check the days that you may be available to be a PAL.
