Volunteer with Children
We are thrilled that you are interested in serving in Children's Ministries. Let us assist you in finding a place where you can use your God-given gifts to invest in the lives of children. Our Children's Ministries volunteers have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of kids that will last for all eternity! As an added bonus, you will find many days that you will learn just as much from the kids as they do from you.
Kid Nation Volunteers
Kid Nation volunteers serve on Sunday mornings during the 9:15 and 11 a.m. services. The qualifications necessary are having a heart to love God and a desire to work with children. We will train and equip you with all of the resources and materials that you’ll need. Volunteers serve in assigned classrooms (preschool-grade 5) as teachers, Student-In-Ministry (SIM) assistants, substitute teachers and special needs ministry buddies. Positions are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All volunteers working directly with children must complete a Background Check, Online Safety Training Course and the Floris UMC Child and Student Safety Policy.
Kid Nation volunteer openings for the 2017-2018 school year currently exists for adult and high school student volunteers as teachers and buddies.

Special Event Volunteers
Children's Ministries hosts several special events during the year, such as Family Fun Nights, Family Advent Projects, Trunk-or-Treat and more. We would love for you to come share your gifts with us on a one-time event basis. Contact Renee Williams to learn when our next special event is scheduled.
Volunteers On Call
Can we call on you to help with our many office and craft preparation projects? This team of volunteers work when their schedules allow to do copying, cutting, cleaning/stocking supplies, sorting, painting, and more. Our Volunteers On Call are sent emails with project requests and then reply if they can help on a specific task. Some projects are done at the church and some can be taken home. Contact Renee Williams to learn more and sign up.
In Children's Ministries, we always have a need for people with special project skills. If you have skills in photography, sewing, art/painting, theater stage set construction or design, or assembly presentations, please contact us! There are many opportunities for you to use your skills to grow God's Kingdom.
