Counseling at Floris

Sometimes you need a little extra personal support. Because of that, we offer different forms of counseling. The following is a list of the counseling that we provide here at Floris UMC. For more information, please contact Barbara Miner.

  • Pastoral Counseling: Floris UMC is one of the host congregations for Pastoral Counseling of Northern Virginia. These counselors have helped literally thousands of people who were hurting. Services are provided for a wide array of areas including couples counseling, family counseling, anxiety disorders, OCD, phobias, depression, sexual abuse, substance abuse, divorce, illness, addiction and many more. Contact Anne Martin, Pastoral Counselor, for more information.
  • Christian Counseling: Grace Greenan is a Christian counselor who has a counseling office at Floris UMC. If you are in need of counseling, contact her.

Congregational Care Ministry

The Congregational Care Ministry at Floris UMC seeks to provide Christian care to our Floris UMC members and friends. Our pastors, congregational care staff and volunteers connect with others to help them through various life situations. Through our various support groups, Card Ministry, Prayer Blanket Ministry, Congregational Care Minister volunteers and our Prayer Team we seek to comfort those in need. They might visit you in the hospital, check in with phone calls or just meet to talk over coffee—whatever you need during this time. To find out more, please contact Carol Benson.
