These vibrant plants brighten our sanctuary and represent the love\, gratitude\, and faith of our church family. You can choose to dedicate a poinsettia In Memory of someone dear\, In Honor of a special person or group\, or To the Glory of God. Your dedication becomes part of our collective celebration of hope\, light\, and the birth of Christ. \nYour dedication will be included in our Christmas Eve materials so that your tribute can be shared with the congregation as we gather in worship. Many families find this tradition meaningful year after year because it provides an opportunity to pause\, reflect\, and offer something beautiful in the spirit of Christmas. \nMaking a dedication is simple. We enjoy socializing and prayer as we make special blankets\, shawls and quilts for those experiencing difficult life situations. \nDo you know someone who would enjoy feeling the love of God by receiving a prayer blanket? This inspiring musical celebration invites you and your loved ones to step into the heart of the nativity through powerful worship\, stirring music\, and meaningful reflection on the birth of Christ. \nThe Christmas Cantata will be presented on:Saturday\, December 13 at 7:00 p.m.Sunday\, December 14 at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. \nWhether you are new to Floris\, a long-time member\, or searching for a meaningful way to celebrate the season\, this cantata is created to touch hearts\, uplift spirits\, and create lasting memories. \nThe cantata blends traditional and contemporary Christmas music\, weaving together vocals\, instruments\, and storytelling to share the miracle of Christ’s humble birth. From the quiet reverence of the manger to the joyful proclamation of angels\, each moment invites reflection\, gratitude\, and awe. \nThis event is open to all ages and members of the community. We welcome you to join us for a time of worship\, fellowship\, and celebration as we honor the greatest gift of all\, the birth of Jesus Christ. \nNo registration is required\, and all are invited to attend. May the music\, message\, and worship guide your heart on a journey to Bethlehem and into the true meaning of Christmas. \nSupport Our Holiday Food Drive During the Cantata \nAs you join us for the Christmas Cantata\, we invite you to support Floris Feeds Our Community\, our annual holiday food drive taking place from November 16 through December 14. This effort supports local partners such as the Cornerstones Food Hub\, Community of Faith UMC Food Pantry\, and Grace Ministries. \nIf you would like to participate\, please bring a donation and place it in the blue bins located in the Gathering Space.Most needed items include: \n\nRice (1 to 5 lb bags)\nPeanut butter\nJelly\nMasa (5 lb bag)\nSpaghetti and spaghetti sauce\nCanned vegetables and beans\nCanned fruit\nCanned chicken or tuna\nCooking oil (24 oz)\n\nEvery item helps provide nourishment and hope for families in our community. Thank you for celebrating the birth of Jesus with us and for sharing His love by feeding our neighbors this season.
