DESCRIPTION:Advent Giving Christmas Trees: Bless Our Community This Season\nShare the love of Christ this Christmas through a simple act of generosity! \nThe Christmas season is a time for joy\, hope\, and giving. It’s also an opportunity to remind our neighbors that they are loved\, valued\, and never forgotten. This year\, you can help make Christmas a little brighter for individuals and families in our local community through our Advent Giving Christmas Tree! \nFrom November 8 through December 6\, 2026\, we invite you to visit the Giving Tree in the church building and choose an ornament (or two!) featuring a gift request from someone in need. Each ornament represents a real person in our community and an opportunity to share kindness in a meaningful\, tangible way. \nWhether you choose one gift or several\, your generosity can make a difference. A requested item may seem like a small gesture\, but for the person receiving it\, it can bring comfort\, encouragement\, and a powerful reminder that someone cares. By participating\, you’re helping ensure that more of our neighbors experience the warmth and joy of the Christmas season. \nHow to Participate\nGetting involved is easy! \n\nVisit the Giving Tree. Stop by the church building beginning November 8 and select an ornament with a gift request.\nPurchase the requested gift. Choose the item listed on your ornament and help make someone’s Christmas brighter.\nReturn your unwrapped gift. Bring your gift back to the church no later than December 6\, 2026. Please leave all gifts unwrapped so they can be properly organized and distributed.\n\nEvery gift is an opportunity to share hope\, spread joy\, and show love to someone who may need a little extra support this season. \nBe a Blessing This Christmas\nAs we journey through Advent and prepare our hearts for Christmas\, let’s remember that giving is one of the ways we put our faith into action. Through the Advent Giving Christmas Tree\, we can come together as a church family to care for our neighbors and reflect the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church. \nYou don’t have to do something extraordinary to make a difference. As we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christ’s birth\, we invite you to put faith into action by participating in our Advent Food Drive. \nThis seasonal food collection brings our congregation together to support individuals and families in need throughout our community. By donating nonperishable food items\, you can help provide essential nourishment to our neighbors and remind them that they are not alone. \nGive the Gift of Nourishment\nFor many individuals and families\, access to food can be a daily challenge\, especially during the holiday season. Our Advent Food Drive offers a meaningful opportunity to help meet this need while sharing the compassion and love at the heart of the Christmas season. \nEvery donation\, no matter the size\, can make a difference. A few cans of vegetables\, a box of pasta\, or a package of rice may seem like a small contribution\, but together\, our gifts can help provide meals and bring comfort to those facing food insecurity. \nYou do not have to make a large donation to have a meaningful impact. Every item given is an opportunity to care for our neighbors and serve our community. \nPut Your Faith Into Action\nThroughout Advent\, we remember the hope and love Jesus brings into the world. The Advent Food Drive is one way we can reflect that love through practical acts of kindness and service. \nWhether you contribute a few pantry staples or encourage your family and friends to participate\, you are helping build a community where people care for one another. This is an opportunity for individuals and families of all ages to embrace the spirit of giving and make generosity part of their Advent traditions. \nAs we prepare to celebrate Christmas\, let’s remember that the season is about more than the gifts we exchange. It is also about the love we share\, the needs we help meet\, and the hope we bring to others. \nItems Needed for Our Advent Food Drive\nHelp us nourish our neighbors this Advent season by donating the following nonperishable food items. Every contribution makes a difference! \n\nRice: 1–5 lb bags\nPeanut butter\nJelly\nMasa: 5 lb bags\nSpaghetti: 1 lb packages\nSpaghetti sauce: Jars\nCanned vegetables and beans\nCanned fruit\nCanned chicken or tuna\nCooking oil: 24 oz bottles\n\nThank you for your generosity and for helping us share hope and care with individuals and families in our community! \nHow to Donate\nYou can support the Advent Food Drive by donating nonperishable food items during our collection hours. Consider checking your pantry\, adding a few extra items to your grocery list\, or inviting others to join you in giving. There will be blue bins  available to collect items in the gathering space \nFood collection hours: \n\nMonday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.\nSunday: 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.\n\nPlease plan your drop-off during these designated hours.
