DESCRIPTION:Challenging Christian Nationalism\nA Learning Series with Guest Speaker and Workshops \nIn March\, Floris UMC invites adults to take part in Challenging Christian Nationalism\, a new in-person learning series designed to thoughtfully explore the relationship between Christian faith and nationalism in today’s social and political context. This series offers space for education\, reflection\, and respectful dialogue rooted in Christian values. \nThe series begins on March 1\, 2026\, with a special session featuring guest speaker David Carter\, followed by three facilitated workshops on March 15\, 22\, and 29. Each gathering will take place from 12:30 to 2:30 PM and is intended for adults seeking deeper understanding and meaningful conversation. \nWhat This Series Is About\nChristian Nationalism is a topic that raises important questions about faith\, identity\, power\, and public life. This series does not aim to provide simple answers. Instead\, it creates a space to: \n\nLearn from trusted voices and shared resources\nReflect on how faith informs public witness\nAsk thoughtful questions in a respectful environment\nListen to differing perspectives with curiosity and care\n\nThe opening session with David Carter will provide historical and theological context\, setting the foundation for the workshops that follow.
