DESCRIPTION:Hiking for the Soul\nStep away from the busyness of everyday life and experience the peace of God’s creation with Hiking for the Soul\, a new monthly gathering sponsored by Floris UMC. Each hike is designed not only to get us moving outdoors\, but also to nourish our spirits through reflection\, prayer\, and community. \nEach month\, we meet at a local park for a short and accessible hike (about 1.5 miles)\, perfect for beginners or anyone who wants a relaxed outdoor activity. But Hiking for the Soul is more than exercise. It is a space to slow down\, notice the beauty around us\, and connect with God in meaningful ways. \nWe begin with a short reading or meditation to open our hearts to God’s presence in nature. Midway through the hike\, we pause for a simple grounding exercise that helps us center ourselves and fully embrace the moment. \nAfter the trail\, there is time for fellowship and sharing. DESCRIPTION:Floris Town Hall\nJoin Pastor Drew and other Floris leaders for a special Town Hall on Wednesday\, September 30\, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This is an opportunity to come together as a church community\, hear directly from Drew\, and learn more about what’s happening at Floris. \nDuring this 45-minute Town Hall\, Pastor Drew will share an update with the Floris community and provide an opportunity to hear more about what’s ahead. Whether you’ve been part of Floris for years or are newer to the community\, the Town Hall is a chance to stay informed\, connect with others\, and be part of the conversation about our church and its future. \nFollowing the Town Hall\, stick around for cookies and conversation in the Gathering Space. It’s a simple opportunity to continue the conversation\, connect with other members of the Floris community\, and spend some time together. \nChildcare Available\nWe want families to be able to participate in the Town Hall. Childcare will be provided during the event\, but registration is required for childcare. Please register in advance so we can make sure we have the appropriate arrangements in place. \nCan’t Attend in Person?\nWe know schedules don’t always make it possible to be there in person. The Town Hall will be recorded so you can still lean in\, stay connected\, and be part of the conversation.
