This fall\, we are pleased to host a convenient immunization clinic designed to help protect our community against seasonal illnesses and ensure everyone has access to recommended vaccines. Whether you’re a member of our congregation or part of our staff\, we encourage you to take advantage of this important opportunity. \nOn Sunday\, September 21\, the clinic will be open for all members of the congregation\, providing a safe\, organized\, and accessible environment to receive immunizations. Staff members will have their dedicated clinic on Tuesday\, September 23\, with the same guidelines and procedures. \nWhat to bring: Please bring your insurance card(s) (medical and prescription\, Medicare\, Military ID/Tricare\, etc.) and wear clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm. Please note that Kaiser insurance cannot be accepted at this time. \nVaccine information: The clinic will provide seasonal vaccines\, and we are monitoring availability for the adult COVID-19 vaccine. If it is available and can be administered without a prescription\, it will be offered during the clinic. Our priority is to provide safe and timely care for all participants. \nTo participate\, registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Hiking for the Soul\nStep away from the busyness of everyday life and experience the peace of God’s creation with Hiking for the Soul\, a new monthly gathering sponsored by Floris UMC. Each hike is designed not only to get us moving outdoors\, but also to nourish our spirits through reflection\, prayer\, and community. \nEach month\, we meet at a local park for a short and accessible hike (about 1.5 miles)\, perfect for beginners or anyone who wants a relaxed outdoor activity. But Hiking for the Soul is more than exercise. It is a space to slow down\, notice the beauty around us\, and connect with God in meaningful ways. \nWe begin with a short reading or meditation to open our hearts to God’s presence in nature. Midway through the hike\, we pause for a simple grounding exercise that helps us center ourselves and fully embrace the moment. \nAfter the trail\, there is time for fellowship and sharing.
