Floris has an easy way to turn your unwanted books and media into resources that others can enjoy for years to come with our Book Drop Collection 2026. \nOn Sunday\, June 14\, bring your gently used: \n\nBooks\nMagazines\nRecord albums\nCDs\nDVDs\n\nDonations can be dropped off during the morning worship services. If you cannot make it that day\, no problem. Book Drop bins will also be available in the Floris parking lot for convenient 24/7 drop-off. \nWhy Donate?\nMany of us have shelves\, closets\, and storage boxes filled with items we no longer use. Instead of throwing them away\, consider giving them a second life. \nBook Drop collects\, sorts\, and redistributes donated materials to: \n\nLibraries\nAcademic institutions\nThrift stores\nWholesale bookstores\nCommunity organizations\n\nYour donations help ensure these items continue to be read\, studied\, listened to\, and enjoyed by others. \nA Small Effort\, A Lasting Impact\nThat novel you finished years ago could become someone’s next favorite book. Those old CDs and records could bring joy to a music lover. DESCRIPTION:Parenting in Today’s World: A Faith-Centered Conversation\nEvent Overview\nRaising children today can feel both deeply meaningful and incredibly complex. We are inviting parents and caretakers of children ages 0–12 to join us for a welcoming space to share wisdom\, encouragement\, and real-life experiences in parenting. This gathering is designed to support those who are seeking to raise their children in a Christ-like and Christ-following way while navigating a world that looks very different from the one we grew up in. \nSession Dates\nAll sessions meet from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm: \n\nSunday\, May 3\nSunday\, May 17\nSunday\, May 31\nSunday\, June 14\n\nA Space for Honest Conversation\nParenting doesn’t come with a simple roadmap; especially when balancing faith\, values\, and the realities of today’s culture. This event creates an environment where you can wrestle with those questions alongside others who understand the journey. Together\, we will explore what it means to model Christ in our homes\, have meaningful conversations with our children\, and approach parenting with both grace and intentionality. \nLed by Pastor Daniel\nEach session will be guided by Pastor Daniel\, offering thoughtful insight\, practical perspective\, and space for open discussion. Whether you’re navigating early childhood or the transitions that come with growing kids\, this is an opportunity to learn\, reflect\, and grow alongside a supportive community. \nFlexible and Welcoming\nWe understand that life is busy. While this is a multi-session experience\, you are not required to attend every session to participate. You are welcome to join whenever you are able.
