Or maybe you just need a place to pause at the end of the week with a good cup of coffee and a little community. \nThat’s exactly what “Almost Rev. Meg” Coffee Conversations is all about. Each Friday afternoon from 1–4 p.m.\, (October 3\, 2025 at 2-4 p.m.) join Almost Rev. Meg at Meanwhile Coffee in Woodland Crossing (2309 Woodland Crossing Dr\, Herndon\, VA) for an open\, welcoming time of conversation and connection. \nBring your toughest questions—Meg can promise you plenty of almost-answers! You don’t need to prepare anything in advance; just come as you are. Whether your questions are about the Bible\, daily life\, or where faith intersects with culture\, this is a space to ask honestly\, wonder together\, and share perspectives without pressure. \nNot in the mood for questions? That’s okay too! This gathering is also a casual co-working opportunity. Bring your laptop\, grab a latte\, and settle in alongside other Floris folks. You’ll find a supportive\, relaxed environment where you can catch up on work\, enjoy good company\, or simply take a breather. \nThis weekly meetup is about more than coffee—it’s about building community. DESCRIPTION:Join Us at Frying Pan Farm Park for Big Truck Night!\nOn Friday\, August 1\, Floris UMC will be participating in a special community event at Frying Pan Farm Park—and we’d love for you and your family to stop by and say hello! \nThis is a fun\, family-friendly evening where local organizations and neighbors come together to build community and enjoy the outdoors. We’ll be setting up a booth to share the love and welcome of Floris with everyone who attends. \nBe sure to look for the Floris bus\, which will be parked on-site and filled with a few surprise passengers—giant stuffed animals buckled into the seats! It’s a playful and whimsical way for kids (and adults!) to interact with us and learn more about what we do. \nAt our booth\, you can: \n\nPick up handouts featuring exciting family events happening at Floris this fall.\nGrab a refreshing cup of lemonade or water (while supplies last).\nTake home fun giveaway items like Floris stickers or small family-friendly items.\nMeet members of our church family and learn about ways to get involved.\n\nWhether you’ve been part of Floris for years or are just curious to learn more\, this is a great chance to connect\, ask questions\, and get to know some of the people who make our community so special. \nWe hope to see you there—and bring a friend or neighbor along for the fun!
