Kids\, parents\, grandparents\, and caregivers are all welcome to come as they are and experience church in a creative and joyful way. \nWhat to Expect\n\nDinner Together\n\nWe’ll start the evening by sharing pizza and pretzels. Gathering around the table helps us slow down\, connect\, and build community. \nMusic & Story\n\nAfter dinner\, we’ll enjoy music and a short\, interactive story that helps us reflect on Lent and prepare our hearts for Easter.Pretzels and Prayers Theme\n \nPretzels have long been a symbol of prayer. This month\, we’ll explore how prayer can be simple\, meaningful\, and part of everyday life. \nHands-On Fun with Dough\n\nEveryone will get to play with dough\, twist and shape creations\, and explore faith through creativity. DESCRIPTION:F.I.S.H. (Fifth in Service for Him) \nFifth grade is an exciting time—it’s a year filled with growth\, new experiences\, and the beginning of deeper friendships. At Floris UMC\, we know this is also the perfect stage to help students discover the joy of serving others while building a community of their own. That’s why we created F.I.S.H. (Fifth in Service for Him)\, a ministry just for fifth graders. \nThrough F.I.S.H.\, students gather regularly to share in fun\, fellowship\, and meaningful service. Each month offers a new adventure—one that keeps kids excited to come back\, connect with friends\, and grow in their faith. One month might bring the thrill of a scavenger hunt or the laughter of a game night\, while another invites the group to roll up their sleeves for a hands-on service project that makes a difference in our local community. From progressive dinners to festive Christmas parties\, every event is designed to help kids form lasting memories while learning that following Jesus is both joyful and impactful. \nAt its heart\, F.I.S.H. is about connection—connection with peers\, connection with caring adult leaders\, and connection with God. Students will not only enjoy fun activities\, but also discover how their time\, talents\, and energy can serve others in meaningful ways. It’s a safe\, supportive environment where kids can be themselves\, build friendships\, and experience the values of compassion\, kindness\, and service in action. \nWe invite all fifth graders to come and see what F.I.S.H. is all about.
