SUMMARY:F.I.S.H.
DESCRIPTION:F.I.S.H. (Fifth in Service for Him) \nFifth grade is an exciting time—it’s a year filled with growth\, new experiences\, and the beginning of deeper friendships. At Floris UMC\, we know this is also the perfect stage to help students discover the joy of serving others while building a community of their own. That’s why we created F.I.S.H. (Fifth in Service for Him)\, a ministry just for fifth graders. \nThrough F.I.S.H.\, students gather regularly to share in fun\, fellowship\, and meaningful service. Each month offers a new adventure—one that keeps kids excited to come back\, connect with friends\, and grow in their faith. One month might bring the thrill of a scavenger hunt or the laughter of a game night\, while another invites the group to roll up their sleeves for a hands-on service project that makes a difference in our local community. From progressive dinners to festive Christmas parties\, every event is designed to help kids form lasting memories while learning that following Jesus is both joyful and impactful. \nAt its heart\, F.I.S.H. is about connection—connection with peers\, connection with caring adult leaders\, and connection with God. Students will not only enjoy fun activities\, but also discover how their time\, talents\, and energy can serve others in meaningful ways. It’s a safe\, supportive environment where kids can be themselves\, build friendships\, and experience the values of compassion\, kindness\, and service in action. \nWe invite all fifth graders to come and see what F.I.S.H. is all about. Whether your child is new to Floris or has been part of our community for years\, they’ll find a welcoming space where they belong. Together\, we’ll laugh\, serve\, celebrate\, and grow—because following Christ is best done in community. \n👉 Ready to join us? Register today for F.I.S.H. and be part of the fun and service! \nRegister for February F.I.S.H. \nRegister for March F.I.S.H.

SUMMARY:Happy Birthday Jesus
DESCRIPTION:Happy Birthday\, Jesus!\nSunday\, December 21 at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.During Kid Nation \nJoin us for one of our most joyful and meaningful Kid Nation traditions as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together! On Sunday\, December 21\, preschoolers through 5th graders are invited to a special combined Kid Nation experience in the Hangar and Wesley spaces for our annual Happy Birthday Jesus party. \nThis festive gathering is a fun and engaging way for children to learn the story of Jesus’ birth while experiencing the wonder of Christmas in community with friends and caring leaders. Through music\, games\, crafts\, and interactive storytelling\, kids will be encouraged to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and God’s love coming close to us in the person of Jesus. \nHappy Birthday Jesus brings together age groups across Kid Nation to build connection\, celebrate faith\, and help children recognize that the season is about more than presents and holiday busyness. Our Kid Nation team creates a warm\, playful environment where children can participate\, ask questions\, and discover joy in the greatest gift ever given. \nParents\, simply check your child into Kid Nation at either the 9:00 or 11:00 a.m. service. No registration is required. Because this is a combined experience\, we recommend arriving a few minutes early for smooth check-in. All supplies\, snacks\, and activity materials will be provided. \nWe encourage families to keep the celebration going at home by talking about what your child learned and sharing birthday prayers for Jesus together. \nEvent Details\n\nPreschool through 5th grade\nCombined Kid Nation party\nHangar and Wesley spaces\nNo registration required\nAnnual tradition\n\nThis special Sunday only happens once a year. Invite a friend and come be part of the celebration. We cannot wait to celebrate Jesus’ birthday with your family!
