On Sunday\, December 21\, preschoolers through 5th graders are invited to a special combined Kid Nation experience in the Hangar and Wesley spaces for our annual Happy Birthday Jesus party. \nThis festive gathering is a fun and engaging way for children to learn the story of Jesus’ birth while experiencing the wonder of Christmas in community with friends and caring leaders. Through music\, games\, crafts\, and interactive storytelling\, kids will be encouraged to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and God’s love coming close to us in the person of Jesus. \nHappy Birthday Jesus brings together age groups across Kid Nation to build connection\, celebrate faith\, and help children recognize that the season is about more than presents and holiday busyness. Our Kid Nation team creates a warm\, playful environment where children can participate\, ask questions\, and discover joy in the greatest gift ever given. \nParents\, simply check your child into Kid Nation at either the 9:00 or 11:00 a.m. service. Each student will also receive a special tag to place on their backpack as a reminder that they are never alone on their journey.\nIn addition to the blessing\, we’ll be presenting Bibles to all rising 3rd graders\, marking an important milestone in their faith journey. These Bibles are a gift from the church\, meant to help them grow in their understanding of God’s word and develop a lifelong relationship with scripture. DESCRIPTION:Backpack Blessing & 3rd Grade Bibles\nSunday\, August 17 | During Both Services\n\nStart the new school year with purpose\, prayer\, and encouragement at our annual Backpack Blessing and 3rd Grade Bible Presentation! This special event is a meaningful way to recognize and support students as they prepare to head back to school\, reminding them that they are surrounded by a loving faith community every step of the way. \n\nAll children and youth are invited to bring their backpacks to worship on Sunday\, August 17\, during both services. During a special moment in the service\, we’ll offer a blessing over the students and their backpacks\, asking God to guide\, protect\, and encourage them throughout the school year. Each student will also receive a special tag to place on their backpack as a reminder that they are never alone on their journey.\nIn addition to the blessing\, we’ll be presenting Bibles to all rising 3rd graders\, marking an important milestone in their faith journey. These Bibles are a gift from the church\, meant to help them grow in their understanding of God’s word and develop a lifelong relationship with scripture. Families of 3rd graders will be contacted ahead of time with more details.\nThis is a wonderful opportunity for families to begin the school year with a spirit of hope\, connection\, and encouragement.
