DESCRIPTION:XRoads Thanksgiving Dinner\nSunday\, November 23 at 5 p.m. \nJoin the XRoads Students for one of the most heartwarming traditions of the year as they prepare\, cook\, and serve a homemade Thanksgiving dinner for their families and loved ones. This special evening is more than just a meal—it’s a celebration of gratitude\, community\, and faith in action. \nThroughout the fall\, our middle and high school students have been learning not only how to cook but also how to work together\, serve others\, and express appreciation for the people who support them. The annual XRoads Thanksgiving Dinner brings all those lessons to life. Students take the lead in the kitchen\, plan the menu\, set the tables\, and serve a delicious\, traditional feast to their families as a way of saying thank you. \nThe evening will include a time of fellowship\, laughter\, and reflection as we gather around the table to celebrate the season of thankfulness. DESCRIPTION:Confirmation 2026 Interest Meeting\nAre you ready to take the next step in your faith journey?The Confirmation 2026 program at Floris UMC invites students in eighth grade and above to explore what it means to claim their faith as their own\, grow in their understanding of the United Methodist Church\, and deepen their relationship with God and others. \nConfirmation is an exciting milestone that helps students move from learning about faith to living it out. Throughout this multi-month experience\, participants will engage in lessons\, discussions\, and service opportunities designed to help them grow spiritually and feel more connected to the life of the church. \nProgram Overview\nThe journey begins with an Interest Meeting on Sunday\, October 12\, where students and parents can learn more about the program and ask questions. \n\nOpening Retreat: Saturday\, January 10\nWeekly Confirmation Meetings: Sundays at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. — January 18\, 25; February 1\, 15\, 22; March 1\, 8\, 15\, 22; April 19\nRetreat Weekend: April 10–12 at Concord Retreat Center\nConfirmation Sunday: April 26\n\nEach gathering provides space for conversation\, reflection\, and growth. Students will explore key topics such as the meaning of baptism\, the story of our faith\, and how to live as a follower of Jesus in everyday life. \nRegister Here >\nRegistration opens October 12\, 2025\, and closes January 3\, 2026.
