SUMMARY:Happy Hour Step Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings at Floris UMC \n\nAlcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. Anyone with a desire to stop drinking is welcome\, regardless of race\, gender\, sexual orientation\, religion\, income or profession. And it’s free. At meetings you can just sit and listen and learn more about recovery\, or you can share about your situation. It’s completely up to you. A.A.’s primary purpose is to help alcoholics achieve sobriety.\nAlcoholics Anonymous > |  Virginia AA >\n  \nFor more information\, contact us at florishappyhour@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:Church Online Listening Session
DESCRIPTION:Church Online Listening Session\nYou’re part of the Floris community—wherever you worship from. Join us on August 16\, 2026 for a special Online Attendee Listening Session designed to help us connect\, listen\, and explore ways to build deeper relationships within our online community. \nThis gathering is an opportunity for online attendees to meet one another\, connect with a Floris pastor\, and share their experiences\, hopes\, and ideas for the future. While we value hearing about your online worship experience\, this session is less about evaluating or critiquing worship and more about discovering how we can help online attendees feel more connected and engaged as part of the Floris family. \nChoose the session time that corresponds with your usual online worship time: \n\n9:00 AM online attendees: Join us at 10:00 AM\n11:00 AM online attendees: Join us at 12:00 PM\n\nA Conversation About Connection\nWe want to better understand how online attendees would like to grow deeper at Floris. Whether you’ve been joining online for a short time or have been part of our community for years\, your perspective matters. \nDuring this session\, we’ll explore questions like: \n\nHow would you like to connect with others in the Floris community?\nAre you interested in opportunities such as small groups or online gatherings?\nWhat would help you feel more engaged and supported in your faith journey?\nWhat are your hopes for being part of the Floris community?\n\nMeet\, Connect\, and Grow Together\nThis is a welcoming opportunity to meet others who worship online\, build relationships\, and have meaningful conversations about what community can look like beyond Sunday worship. You’ll also have the chance to meet one of our pastors and learn more about ways to take the next step in connecting with Floris. \nWhether you’re looking for deeper relationships\, opportunities to serve\, or simply a chance to meet others who share your connection to Floris\, we invite you to be part of this conversation. \nShare Your Voice\nIn addition to the listening session\, we invite all online attendees to complete our online community survey. Your feedback will help us better understand your experiences\, interests\, and opportunities for creating meaningful connections. \nRegister Here to attend the Online Attendee Listening Session. \nTake the Survey Here to share your thoughts and help us better serve our online community. \nWe look forward to listening\, connecting\, and discovering new ways to grow together as one Floris community.
