SUMMARY:GRACE Ministries Distribution
DESCRIPTION:GRACE Ministries of the United Methodist Church is a mission project that serves low-income families in our community. It shares the gospel of God’s love through food clothing seven United Methodist churches in Northern Virginia. GRACE Ministries also provides Personal Care Aide (PCA) training Multicultural Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training College Prep ESL classes for graduates of the CNA program These programs assist in easing emergency situations and create career opportunities in areas of significant workforce needs. This group offers a welcoming space to celebrate culture\, faith\, and connection in a supportive church environment. \nEach month includes opportunities to build relationships\, share meaningful conversation\, and grow in faith together through worship\, prayer\, scripture\, and music. Blending United Methodist tradition with the vibrant expression of our diverse community\, this gathering creates space for both spiritual renewal and authentic connection. Whether you are new to the area\, exploring faith\, or looking for a community to call home\, you are warmly invited to participate and be part of this growing fellowship. \nFamilies will find this to be a meaningful space to introduce children to cultural traditions while also experiencing the joy of worship in a diverse and caring church family. This is more than a monthly program—it is a community rooted in belonging\, encouragement\, and shared faith. \nSpecial June Gathering – Offsite Picnic \nOn Saturday\, June 6\, the South Asian Worship & Fellowship group will meet off-site for a special family picnic at Lake Fairfax Park instead of their usual gathering at Floris UMC. DESCRIPTION:A Summer of Growth and Connection\nAdult Enrichment is a joyful\, inclusive summer program hosted by Floris United Methodist Church through its Access Ministries community. This program is designed for adults with disabilities\, unique abilities\, or those who benefit from additional support\, offering a welcoming space to grow\, connect\, and thrive. \nLearning Life Skills in a Supportive Environment\nSummer is a time to explore new interests\, strengthen life skills\, and build meaningful relationships. Adult Enrichment provides a structured\, supportive setting where participants can grow in independence while engaging in hands-on\, meaningful activities. Areas of focus include everyday living skills\, communication and social development\, functional learning such as math and literacy\, and wellness and personal growth. \nA Community Where Everyone Belongs\nMore than a program\, Adult Enrichment is a place of belonging. Every participant is valued\, supported\, and encouraged in a community rooted in inclusion\, respect\, and care. Staff and volunteers work together to create a safe\, welcoming environment where friendships are formed\, confidence is built\, and every person is empowered to participate fully. \nWho We Serve\nAdult Enrichment is designed for adults who benefit from a supportive learning and social environment\, including individuals with disabilities or unique abilities.
