DESCRIPTION:Bright Life Mission Trip: Appalachia Service Project\nJune 28 – July 4\, 2026 \nSpend a week making a real difference with the Bright Life Mission Trip to Appalachia. This summer\, join a team of volunteers from our church as we travel to the Appalachian region to serve families\, support communities\, and experience life beyond our everyday routines. \nA Week of Service\nDuring the trip\, participants will take part in hands-on projects that include: \n\nHome repairs and maintenance\nCommunity improvement efforts\nSupporting families and neighborhoods in need\nServing alongside local ministries\n\nEach project is designed to meet real needs in the community while giving participants a chance to see the impact of their work firsthand. \nGrowth and Connection\nThe Bright Life Mission Trip is more than service. It is an opportunity to connect with others\, grow spiritually\, and experience God at work. Each day includes time for group reflection\, prayer\, and conversation\, helping participants process their experiences and see the difference they are making. \nWorking side by side with other volunteers builds friendships and fosters teamwork. Many participants leave with a deeper sense of purpose\, new perspectives\, and a heart for serving others. \nTrip Details and Cost\n\nDates: June 28 – July 4\, 2026\nCost: $400 per participant\n\n$200 deposit due upon application\nRemaining $200 due by May 5\n\n\n\nThe cost covers lodging\, meals\, transportation\, and project supplies. DESCRIPTION:Western North Carolina Mission Trip \nFor over two decades\, Floris United Methodist Church has been answering the call to serve communities impacted by natural disasters. From hurricanes and flooding to tornadoes\, our mission teams have brought hope and help to areas across the country. Now\, we invite you to be part of our next journey—our Western North Carolina Mission Trip. \nFloris UMC has sent more than 60 teams to disaster-stricken areas in states like Mississippi\, Florida\, South Carolina\, North Carolina\, Kentucky\, New Jersey\, and New York. Over 600 volunteers have rolled up their sleeves\, built homes\, cleared debris\, and most importantly\, offered compassion to those in need. This work continues as long as there are communities in need of recovery. \nOur next UMVIM Team to Western North Carolina is July 12–17. Would you be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ for the thousands of folks displaced by the remnants of Hurricane Helene? Whether you are skilled in construction or have little or no experience\, your willingness to help will make a great difference. \nAll missioners must be 18+ or 16–18 if accompanied by a parent or designated chaperone\, and there’s no upper age limit—just bring your heart and hands ready to serve! From hurricanes and flooding to tornadoes\, our mission teams have brought hope and help to areas across the country. Now\, we invite you to be part of our next journey—our Western North Carolina Mission Trip. \nFloris UMC has sent more than 60 teams to disaster-stricken areas in states like Mississippi\, Florida\, South Carolina\, North Carolina\, Kentucky\, New Jersey\, and New York. Over 600 volunteers have rolled up their sleeves\, built homes\, cleared debris\, and most importantly\, offered compassion to those in need. This work continues as long as there are communities in need of recovery. \nOur next UMVIM Team to Western North Carolina is October 11–16. Would you be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ for the thousands of folks displaced by the remnants of Hurricane Helene? Whether you are skilled in construction or have little or no experience\, your willingness to help will make a great difference. \nAll missioners must be 18+ or 16–18 if accompanied by a parent or designated chaperone\, and there’s no upper age limit—just bring your heart and hands ready to serve!
