The news\, social media\, and the challenges facing our communities can make the world feel unrecognizable—and leave us wondering how we’re supposed to keep going as if everything is normal. \nBut what if we didn’t? \nWhat if we chose to wake up\, look clearly at the justice issues affecting our community\, and decide that we will be part of creating something better? \nYou might be asking yourself\, What can I do? I’m just one person. I can’t change anything. \nBut what if you could? \nWhat if we locked arms\, stood together\, and said\, “No more.” \nThere are people all around us using their voices\, talents\, passions\, and experiences to make a difference. They are creating change every day—and you have the opportunity to join them. \nLead with Love: Day of Empowerment and Impact is an invitation to step out of overwhelm and into action. \nSpend the day learning more about the justice issues affecting our community\, connecting with people who are already making an impact\, discovering ways to use your own gifts for good\, and finding your place in something bigger than yourself. \nBecause meaningful change doesn’t happen when one person does everything. \nIt happens when we come together. \nWhen we learn. \nWhen we listen. \nWhen we stand up. \nWhen we use our voices. \nWhen we lead with love. \nRegistration opens September 9.\nRegister for Lead with Love → \n\nFriday\, October 16\nPoverty Simulation\n6:00–8:30 p.m. \nBegin the Lead with Love weekend with an immersive Poverty Simulation sponsored by Helping Children Worldwide. \nA poverty simulation is an interactive\, immersive role-playing exercise designed to build empathy and show the daily struggles of living on a low income. \nRather than simply talking about poverty\, participants will experience a simulated version of the difficult choices\, unexpected challenges\, and barriers that can shape everyday life for people living with limited financial resources. \nThe experience is designed to encourage empathy\, deepen understanding\, and challenge participants to think differently about poverty and the systems that affect people’s lives. \nParticipation is limited to 29 participants\, so preregistration is required.
