You’ll have the opportunity to share your frustrations\, ask questions\, and connect with others who understand what you’ve been through. Whether you’re still processing\, searching for new meaning\, or simply longing to be heard\, this is a place where your journey is honored without pressure or judgment. \nWe’ll strive for balance: combining thoughtful\, intellectual conversation about faith and spirituality with opportunities for personal and communal healing. We believe that every person is a beloved child of God\, deserving of respect\, love\, and belonging. \nOur mission is to create meaningful change both within our church and across the broader United Methodist denomination. We work closely with the Floris UMC Church Council to offer thoughtful recommendations and to help carry out approved actions that reflect our core values of love\, justice\, and equality. From advocating for inclusive language and policies to supporting initiatives that remove discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals\, our efforts are rooted in faith and guided by the desire to see every person welcomed fully into the life of the church. \nThe Pride Alliance also serves as a restoration ministry\, intentionally engaging in conversations and actions that address inequities and challenge barriers faced by LGBTQ+ members in the church.
