Provide Meals to Kids

Throughout the pandemic, the Help Hungry Kids ministry has continued to distribute 165 meals each week to the children at Hutchison Elementary School. However, we have had to work out different ways to run the ministry safely. We are still collecting food donations, doing monthly inventories, and packaging meals. Until further notice, though, we are doing it on a smaller basis.

You can help in two ways.

Donate Your Time

While maintaining social distancing, a small group of volunteers sorts and packages food each month. We inventory during the third week of the month and usually package meals on the third Friday of the month. One team sets up from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and another team packages from 1 – 4 p.m. Our teams are small, each one no more than ten volunteers.

If you would like to help one of these groups, please contact Donna Porter.
