(written Wednesday, July 20)

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
-Lamentations 3:22-24 (NRSV)

Today is departure day for 12 of 13 team members. Finally, all the preparations have come to fruition, and once we are in the air, we will breathe a huge sigh of relief. Team members will meet at Floris UMC today at 1:00 p.m. for the final weigh in of trunks and suitcases. Texas and Virginia members will meet and get re-acquainted and Team Salone will be together for the first time minus Anna who is on the hospital ship, Mercy, docked off of Freeport. She will join us Friday. We ask for the continued prayers of family, friends, and church members that we will be a blessing to the staff and children at the CRC.
