We invite you to join us as we join United Methodists, ecumenical partners, and faith communities from across the country for Faithful Resistance: A Public Witness for Immigrant Justice — a national day of worship, prayerful public witness, and advocacy on Capitol Hill.
Participants may attend in person in Washington, D.C. or take part online via livestream.
Why Participate

- Join people of faith nationwide in a shared public witness
- Take part in worship, a peaceful procession, and advocacy with lawmakers
- Lift a faithful call for dignity, justice, and humane immigration policies
Event Schedule (Eastern Time)
- 9:30–10:00 a.m. | Gathering at Capitol Hill United Methodist Church
- 10:00–11:00 a.m. | Opening Worship Service
- 11:00–11:30 a.m. | Peaceful Procession to the U.S. Capitol
- 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | Public Witness at the U.S. Capitol
- 12:30–2:00 p.m. | Lunch on your own
- 2:00–5:00 p.m. | Congressional visits (optional)
Faithful Resistance is being organized by United Methodist agencies and interfaith partners and is open to all who feel called to advocate for immigrant justice.
Those unable to travel are encouraged to join online, follow along on social media, or participate through local acts of solidarity.
