Bring the whole family for a special Holy Thursday experience designed to help children and adults discover the meaning of this sacred night together. This evening blends community, learning, and worship in a way that is engaging, meaningful, and welcoming for all ages.
Holy Thursday marks the night of the Last Supper, when Jesus shared a final meal with his disciples and gave the church the gift of communion. During this service, families will have the opportunity to explore the story and significance of communion in a way that is interactive and accessible for everyone.
Evening Schedule
5:00 – 6:00 PM | Community Dinner
We’ll begin the evening with a shared dinner in the Fellowship Hall. This relaxed time allows families to connect, meet others in the Floris community, and prepare for the worship experience together.
6:00 PM | Family Communion Service
After dinner, we’ll gather for a brief but meaningful communion service designed especially for families. Through simple teaching and reflection, both children and adults will learn about the meaning of communion and why it continues to be an important part of the Christian faith.
Children will also have a special role in the service. Rather than simply observing, kids will serve as communion helpers, making this a hands-on and memorable experience that helps them better understand this sacred tradition.
