MLK: Day of Service

Cathy Hudgins Community Center  |  9 a.m. – noon  |  varying durations

Indoor projects include:

• Making bag lunches for Embry Rucker Community Shelter (9-11 a.m.  |  volunteers must be 14+)
• Sorting and organizing donated toys from The Closet (9 a.m. – noon  |  volunteers must be 13+)
• Cleaning and organizing the kitchen (10 a.m. – noon  |  all ages)

Outdoor projects (weather permitting) include:

• Sprucing up the natural areas and pathways; picking up litter and debris around the center (10 a.m. – noon  |  all ages)

Cook and serve breakfast for unhoused people in Reston. If the January slots are full, consider serving in February!
