Backpack Blessing

Start the new school year with purpose, prayer, and encouragement at our annual Backpack Blessing! This special event is a meaningful way to recognize and support students as they prepare to head back to school, reminding them that they are surrounded by a loving faith community every step of the way.

All children and youth are invited to bring their backpacks to worship on Sunday, August 16, during both services. During a special moment in the service, we’ll offer a blessing over the students and their backpacks, asking God to guide, protect, and encourage them throughout the school year. Each student will also receive a special tag to place on their backpack as a reminder that they are never alone on their journey.

This is a wonderful opportunity for families to begin the school year with a spirit of hope, connection, and encouragement. Whether your child is starting kindergarten, heading into high school, or somewhere in between, we invite you to participate in this joyful and faith-filled tradition.
