Student End of Year Bash

Celebrate the End of the School Year with Student Ministries

Celebrate the end of the school year with Student Ministries as we come together for an afternoon of fun, community, and celebration in the upper parking lot. This event is designed to help students unwind, connect with friends, and kick off summer in the best way possible.

We’ll have a full lineup of games and activities for everyone to enjoy, along with plenty of food and space to hang out. One of the highlights of the day will be the waterslide, so come ready to get wet and have fun. Whether you want to compete in games, relax with friends, or just enjoy the atmosphere, there will be something for everyone.

This is a shared meal-style gathering, so we invite families and students to bring a side dish or dessert to share. It’s a great way to contribute to the table and enjoy a variety of food together as a community.

All students are welcome, and friends are encouraged to come along. This is a great opportunity to celebrate all the hard work of the school year and step into summer with joy and connection.

Don’t miss this favorite Student Ministries tradition as we celebrate together, build community, and make lasting memories. Check out highlights from past Student End of Year Bash

October Mission Trip: A Journey of Service, Growth, and Transformation

Travel Dates: July 19 – August 1

The October Mission Trip is more than a travel experience—it is an invitation to step into a season of meaningful service, deep connection, and personal transformation. From July 19 through August 1, participants will join together in a shared mission to serve communities, build relationships, and actively live out their faith in tangible ways.

This journey is designed for individuals who feel called to step outside of their everyday routines and into an experience that challenges, stretches, and renews them. Whether you are a seasoned mission participant or considering your very first trip, this opportunity offers a powerful space to grow spiritually while making a real impact in the lives of others.

Throughout the trip, participants will engage in hands-on service projects that respond to the real needs of the community. These may include supporting local ministries, assisting with outreach programs, engaging in community development efforts, and partnering with local leaders to strengthen ongoing initiatives. Each day will offer opportunities not only to serve, but also to listen, learn, and build authentic relationships with the people and communities being served.

In addition to the service work, this trip is also a deeply formative spiritual experience. Time will be set aside for reflection, group connection, prayer, and debriefing, allowing participants to process what they are seeing and experiencing together. Many who have participated in past mission trips describe the experience as life-shaping—marked by a renewed sense of purpose, deeper faith, and a clearer understanding of how they are called to serve in their everyday lives.

The October Mission Trip is also an opportunity to journey in community. You will not be going alone. You will be surrounded by a team of individuals who are also seeking growth, connection, and a deeper expression of faith through service. The relationships formed during this time often extend far beyond the trip itself.

If you are looking for an experience that will challenge your perspective, deepen your faith, and allow you to make a meaningful difference, this mission trip may be the next step for you.

Earth Day: Battery Recycling

Celebrate Earth Day with Purpose
Join us in honoring Earth Day by making a meaningful impact in your community. Our Environmental Justice and Stewardship team is hosting a battery recycling event, and you’re invited to take part in this simple yet powerful act of care for our planet.

Why Battery Recycling Matters
Many household batteries end up in landfills, where they can leak harmful chemicals into the soil and water. Recycling them properly helps reduce environmental harm and supports responsible stewardship of the resources we’ve been given.

What to Bring
We welcome batteries of all sizes commonly used in the home, from small everyday batteries to larger household types. Simply bring your used batteries and place them in the designated collection bins. Our team will take care of the rest.

Make an Impact Together
This is a great opportunity to declutter your home while contributing to a healthier environment. It’s also a chance to come together as a community and live out our shared commitment to caring for creation.

Join Us
Whether you’ve been saving up old batteries or just have a few to recycle, every contribution makes a difference. Be part of this Earth Day effort and help us build a culture of stewardship and environmental responsibility.

Hope for the Home: Less Stuff, More God

Hope for the Home: Less Stuff, More God

What would it feel like to create space in your home and your life for what matters most?

Join us for Hope for the Home: Less Stuff, More God, happening May 6 from 7:00–8:30 PM, in the Fellowship Hall and online. This event is designed to help you pause, reflect, and re-center in the midst of life’s constant noise and clutter. Led by Amy Slenker-Smith, Life and Business Coach with Simply Enough, this experience will guide you in rethinking your relationship with “stuff” and how it impacts your spiritual life. Amy will lead participants through a time of reflection and share actionable strategies to declutter both your spaces and your minds, creating more room for meaningful spiritual encounter.

We live in a culture that constantly pushes for more, yet many of us feel overwhelmed by both physical clutter and mental noise. What fills our spaces often fills our minds as well, leaving little room for peace or reflection. This event invites you into a different rhythm, one that creates margin for clarity, rest, and a deeper connection with God.

What you will gain:
You will walk away with a fresh perspective on what truly matters and a renewed sense of clarity in your daily life. Through guided reflection and practical teaching, you will learn simple, actionable strategies to begin decluttering your home and your mind. More importantly, you will discover how creating space in your environment can open the door to deeper peace, purpose, and meaningful spiritual encounter.

Light snacks and beverages will be available during the event.
